Gorilla Art

I have always loved Koko. I have very fond memories of reading the Koko and the Kitten book when I was little, and I've always thought her story was beautiful inspiring. It's so neat to me that she learned sign language and is able to communicate with humans -- so rad!

Anyway, I just found out about Gorilla Art. Koko and her late partner, Michael, painted pictures and named them themselves (using sign language to communicate the titles of the paintings). I just think this is unbelievably interesting, and really really cool. Proceeds from art sales go towards the Gorilla Foundation, which helps to protect the endangered gorillas like Koko.
